.5 oz Calvados
.5 oz Tawny Port
3 oz Mulled Wine
3 oz Apple Cider
2 oz Ginger Beer
Combine all ingredients in a large wine glass. Garnish with seasonal fruit, such as: pear, apple, cranberry, pomegranate and a cinnamon stick.
Makes 1 cocktail.
To make for a group, quadruple the recipe and combine in a pitcher.
At the restaurant, we're featuring the mulled wine sangria on the menu.
Mulled wine is wonderful to make in the winter. It makes the kitchen smell amazing and provides a warm, comforting, spicy flavour to cocktails. You can even drink it on its own.
Combine orange zest and mulling spices (clove, nutmeg, cinnamon) with red wine. Let simmer on low heat for 7-10 minutes.
